Kickin For A Kure is an Annual Country Music Benefit Concert hosted by the DM Foundation. Our goal is to raise funds and awareness for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society of South-Central Texas.
Gary Moy began Kickin For A Kure in 2010 in Kosciusko, Texas to honor his wife Darlene who lost her battle to Hodgkin's Lymphoma and Acute Myeloid Leukemia in 2007. With the help of his children, Tanner and Brittany, family, and friends the event has raised over $800,000 for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society of South-Central Texas.
Our event is held the third Saturday in July and features concerts from some of the top names in Country Music.
The event kicks off with our Washer Tournament, which set a record in 2015 for the World's Largest Three Hole Double Elimination Washer Tournament.
For VIP and Executive VIP Guests, the evening continues with a catered steak dinner in their private sections.
Throughout the night we sell Raffle Tickets and host an Auction to raise funds for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society of South-Central Texas.
Pictured are Bone Marrow Recipient Camden Barnard (center) and his Donor Ben Denney (far left) with their families. Ben Denney signed up with Be The Match at Kickin For A Kure and answered the call to help then 10-year-old Camden.
Inspired by their story 70 attendees registered with Be The Match in 2023.
